The 1st Amendment--An American virtue--the envy of the world

The right to speak our minds--to expose our ignorance, our intellect, our prejudice, our hate and bigotry; our intolerance and our fears; the 1st amendment expose our weaknesses for the world to see. But maybe--just maybe, it lends the possibility for the opposition to convince the other side. Without the 1st amendment, this would not be possible. So, go tea party, go Fox TV, you have the 1st amendment to thank.
